Amanda L. Weaver, 88, of Berlin died Friday morning, July 27, 2018, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek following a period of declining health.
She was born September 17, 1929, in Holmes County to the late Levi T. and Mary (Schlabach) Weaver. She had a passion for life and was a very dedicated and caring nurse at Walnut Hills Nursing Home for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Gospel Haven Church in Benton. She is survived by her two sisters Clara Weaver and Mrs. Sevilla (Levi R.) Miller both of Fredricksburg, caregivers Junior and Sue Miller of Sugarcreek and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 3 brothers; Ervin, Sol, and Jonas and 8 sisters; Emma, Ida, Esther, Fannie, Lydia, Mary, Sarah, and Ada.
Services will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Gospel Haven Church in Benton with Minister Sam Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Gospel Haven Church in Benton. Arrangements are being handled with Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. The family would like to say Thank-You to all the wonderful nurses and aids at Walnut Hills for their compassionate and loving care.
