She worked at Sugarlane IGA in Sugarcreek from 1959 until her retirement in 2005. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Dover-New Philadelphia Bowlers Hall of Fame and a member of New Pointe Community Church. She was a loving wife and caring mother to her family.
She is survived by her husband Avery Yoder whom she married July 24, 1993, her son Ron (Charlotte) Klein of Killbuck, 2 grandsons Justin and Tanner Klein, step children Chuck (Jill) Yoder of Dover, Leanne (Matt) Harman of Sugarcreek, Loretta (Scott) Miller of Millersburg, Lorraine (Bob) Harding of Sugarcreek and Bryan (Rae Ann) Yoder of Dover, 17 step grandchildren, 1 step great granddaughter and 5 brothers and sisters Red (Rena) Troyer of Sugarcreek, Mary (Bimp) Hawthorne of Wooster, Hank (Jerri) Troyer of Dalton, Ray (Cecelia) Troyer of Hernando Beach, Florida, and Chuck Troyer of Sugarcreek.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her stepson Jeffrey Yoder.
Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at New Pointe Community Church with Pastor Dwight Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery at Sugarcreek. Friends may call on Thursday 4-7 PM at New Pointe Community Church and Friday 10-11 AM prior to funeral services. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
