Councilman Mark Haney says he recently spoke with New Philadelphia Councilman Darrin Lautenschleger about New Philadelphia’s recent agreement with AEP Energy and whether or not that could be a possible option for Uhrichsville.
Haney says, should the city eventually enter into a similar agreement, the move could help certain parts of the city save money.
Haney notes that he believes the move would be a proactive approach.
Information on the agreement has been forwarded onto the mayor’s office for further review and is expected to be presented to council at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
