Born in Dover on October 13, 1954, he was the son of the late David Sr. and Iona Heisler Hoopingarner. He is also preceded in death by his nephew; Ramey Mullinex; brother in-law, Joseph Edward Little Jr.; and father in-law, Joseph Little Sr..
David graduated from New Philadelphia High School. He married Debbie Little on March 11, 1978. David enjoyed music, movies, and loved the game Pac Man.
In addition to his wife, Debbie, he will be sadly missed by his daughter; Alisha (Robert) Rentsch of Dover; grandchildren, Autumn, Samantha, Steven, and William Frontz all of Dover; his sister, Joanne Hoopingarner of New Philadelphia; mother in-law, Goldie Little of New Philadelphia; sister in-law, Susan (Ernest) Tristano of New Philadelphia; brother in-law, Raymond Penrod of Dover; along with eight nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of David's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 4:00 pm with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 pm. A private burial will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover.
