The Ridgewood Local Schools Board of Education is searching for a new superintendent.
Superintendent Rick Raach says he is retiring July 31st after serving the district, in a host of capacities, over the past 30 years.
Raach says he’s looking forward to retirement, but says he’s also looking for a new job.
Raach says he’s truly proud of what the district has accomplished over the years.
Again, the Board is currently conducting interviews to fill the position.
Reportedly, a host of applications have been received and the candidates include Ridgewood High School Principal Todd Stoffer, Ridgewood Elementary School Principal Brian Rentsch and Ridgewood Middle School Principal Mike Masloski.
Outside district candidates reportedly include current Strasburg-Franklin Local School District Superintendent Curtis Clough, Canton City School District CEO F.E. Dawson, Wayne County JFS Eligibility Referral Supervisor Joseph Gotshall and North Canton City School District Business Manager John Stanley, among others.
