The national event, which runs from October 14-20, encourages teens to read for the fun of it.
This event is free and open to teens in grades 7 through 12.
Throughout this special week, any teen who checks out library material from Dover Library will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Liz Strauss, Teen Librarian at Dover Library, says one of the activities planned for Teen Read Week is a contest called Brain Freeze.
Teen Read Week isn’t the only time when the library offers special events for teens. Liz Strauss says every week the library presents Teen Tuesday.
With Halloween approaching, Strauss details a special presentation the library will offer near of the month for kids called the Haunted Library.
Strauss asks that any teenager who would like to volunteer for Haunted Library to contact Dover Public Library at (330) 343-6123.
