Edna V. Peterson, 96, of Mechanicstown died Sunday evening February 10, 2013 in the Carroll Healthcare Center following an extended illness. Born October 17, 1916 in Amsterdam, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Emma Bott Dillon.
Edna was a member of the Bergholz Church of Christ and the Bergholz Ladies Aide Society.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Louis (Nova) Peterson of North Canton, OH, David (Eileen) Peterson of Deland, FL, Gary (Pat) Peterson of St. Louis, MO; two daughters, Shelva (Dave) Miller of Bergholz and Sandra (Charles) Warner of Carrollton; seventeen grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, in 1983; five brothers; five sisters; a grandson; and a great great grandson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at noon in the Bergholz Church of Christ with Pastor David Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbriar Cemetery near Bergholz. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the Church of Christ. Memorial donations in Edna's name may be made to the Bergholz Church of Christ, 1000 Jefferson Street, Bergholz, Ohio 43908.
