Gas Aggregation Program Agreement Up for Renewal

New Philadelphia city council will soon decide whether or not to renew the city's agreement with Constellation Energy Gas Choice Inc. to continue providing a gas aggregation program for residents.

Mayor Mike Taylor says, in the past, the program has been beneficial.

Taylor notes that he has no objections to renewing the agreement.

The agreement has been assigned to council's public works and economic development committee for further review.

Should council decide to discontinue the agreement, the city is required to give a 45 day notice to the program participants.
