James M. Burrier, 84, of Amsterdam passed away Tuesday morning January 8, 2013 in the Carroll Healthcare Center. A son of the late Ross M. and Floy J. Love Burrier, he was born October 3, 1928 in Carroll County.
He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Fleishour; son, William (Debbie) Burrier of Carrollton; daughter, Becky (Doug) Hutchison of Carrollton; three grandchildren, James E. Burrier of Carrollton, Jaime Shockey of Carrollton, and D.J. Hutchison of Canton; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Burrier of Richville, Ohio.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son, James A. Burrier in 1976.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Kimberly Arbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
