She was a 1936 Plainfield High School graduate. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Newcomerstown and had volunteered at Riverside Manor Care Center, Tri-County Ambulance Service and the Red Cross blood mobile. On Wednesday, December 07, 1938 she married Vernon Powell who died November 29, 2005.
She is survived by two sons, Darrell Powell of Palm Coast, FL., Delvin Powell Of Largo, FL.; one
daughter, Ellen Kidwell and husband James of Mt. Juliet, TN; 11 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren;16 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, one daughter-in-law Linda Powell of Battlecreek, MI.
She was preceded in death by one son Loren Powell, one sister, Pearl Powell and two sister-in-laws, Cathy and Barbara.
Services will be Saturday, February 02, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Addy Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Barber officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, February 01, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Addy Funeral Home.
