PAC Unveils Loaded Lineup for Third Season

With two successful seasons already under its belt, the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center (PAC) is aiming for the triple threat with season three.

The center announced the new season Saturday evening during a special public unveiling event, attended by over three hundred people. The new season features first-time appearances at the center by acts including The Blue Man Group, Mannheim Steamroller, and Disney's Beauty and the Beast, as well as return performances from The Oak Ridge Boys, Jim Brickman, and comedy duo Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood.

Kent State Tuscarawas Dean Dr. Gregg Andrews says moving into the third season helps reinforce the vision for the PAC.

Andrews thanks the community for their ongoing support.

Season three also features the return of the PAC's Class Act Series, which allows students in grades kindergarten through 12 to experience daytime performances from select acts, including Gregory Popovich's World Famous Comedy Pet Theater and the Aquila Theater Company's performance of Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac, for one dollar.

PAC General Manager Mike Morelli says the new season will feature some unique acts as well.

Morelli says although the 2012-2013 season already features 22 shows, more events are expected to be added over time.

The third season kicks off this Thursday, July 26th, with an acoustic show by country superstar LeAnn Rimes at 7:30pm.

Season ticket packages go on sale to the public this Wednesday, July 25th, with single tickets available starting August 1st.
