Road crews remain hard at work trying to keep area roads clear for motorists.
ODOT District 11 Public Information Officer Becky Giauque says some roads and bridges around the area may still be slippery and snow-covered and reminds motorists to take it slow.
Giaugue Comments:
Giauque says nearly 13-hundred ODOT snowplows and vehicles have been combating ice and snow across the state over the past few days, and says crews are now working hard to prepare for the next major snowfall event which is expected to hit the area Tuesday.
Giaugue Comments:
Tuscarawas County Engineer Joe Bachman says they are also making preparations for yet another snow event.
Bachman Comments:
Bachman says officials are also concerned about the possibility of additional snow bringing more trees down in the area, which led to a number of road closures this past weekend.
Bachman Comments:
ODOT officials also say it’s important for motorists to make sure that you have plenty of extra safety equipment in your car in the event of an emergency.., including a flashlight, water, and blankets.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon for much of the listening area.
