Theodore D. "Ted" Bradley



Theodore D. “Ted” Bradley, 86 of 4805 TR 366 Millersburg died Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:40 A.M. at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following an extended illness.  He was born March 5, 1927 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Wilbur and Menola (Jerdee) Bradley.

Ted worked on the railroad for approximately 10 years before joining the Army where he served until he retired in 1976.  He served during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  Ted and Bess retired to San Diego and lived there for 25 years before moving to Berlin, Ohio in 2003.  Ted avidly enjoyed fishing and was a huge football fan for many years.  He was the third in a family of six children; Wilbur Bradley (deceased), Warren Bradley, JoAnn Rango, Lee Bradley and Kathleen Krusienski.

He was married to the former Bessie Stretti on September 27, 1947 in Racine, Wisconsin and she preceded him in death on December 19, 2005. 

He is survived by his two children Gail (Rod) Mast of Berlin and Scott Bradley of Millersburg, grandchildren Shannon (Tommy) Goad and their son Jackson and Scott (Brittany) Mast and their two daughters Cadence and Ellasyn.  Ted and Bessie both very much appreciated the many caring people they met in the community and at Berlin Mennonite Church and felt a part of our unique community!

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Berlin Mennonite Church with Pastor Myron Weaver officiating. Private family burial will be in Berlin Cemetery prior to Monday’s memorial service. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Holmes-Wayne County 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.  For those unable to attend please visit the funeral home’s website to share a memory and sign the guest register.
