Michaela Madison Reporting

(Wednesday, March 7th) Ohio – Attorney General Mike DeWine is offering advice to Ohioans amid National Consumer Protection Week.

DeWine noted that it’s important that consumers consistently monitor their bank statements to catch fraudulent activity as early as possible.

“If you think your identity is at risk because of a data breach, consider freezing your credit,” he explained. “The three credit reporting agencies, Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax charge a small fee, but it may save you money in the long run.”
