Mary Alice Reporting:

New Philadelphia, Ohio – Over 50 bicycles will go to a local Christmas giving program courtesy of students at Buckeye Career Center.

For T-4-C’s Share-A-Christmas program, students and community members donated 30 used and 22 new bikes.

BCC Public Relations Coordinator Shyanne Carroll says that the students in Agriculture and Diesel and Commercial Truck Technology program made repairs to some of the bikes.

“And then when Share-A Christmas is ready to distribute the bikes, the children and parents come over to Buckeye and they’re able to select a bicycle for Christmas, and that’s something that some kids may never get whether is new or used. We’re happy to do it and our kids really enjoy being able to fix up those bikes.”

Buckeye students also donated over 5,000 non-perishable food items, as well as over 400 toys.
