SECOND ROUND

Analysis of Bengals, Browns and Steelers picks:

Bengals – Obvious pick for the Bengals, they need a QB and who better to take than the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner, national champion, record setting, and, oh yeah, Ohio kid Joe Burrow. I know there has been some speculation about a possible trade with the Dolphins, but I just don’t see the Bengals passing on Burrow and I am not sure the fan base would accept anything else. I fully expect the Bengals to draft Burrow unless, some team offers them a Ricky Williams’ type haul as the Saints did to the Redskins back in the 1999 draft for the #1 pick.

Browns – The Browns must address their offensive line with the 10th pick. It was a glaring weakness from the 2019 season. Baker Mayfield is coming off a horrendous season in his second season with Cleveland, what better way to help give him time to find his weapons and make huge holes for the running game than to draft a franchise OT in Andrew Thomas. I would be stunned if the Browns went in any other direction other than drafting an OT.

Steelers – Big Ben is coming off an injury in 2019 and it’s not known if he will be 100% and the Roethlisberger of old when he does come back. What’s the best way to take the load off him? Draft a RB that can do that. Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin can in this offense. James Connor has battled injuries the last 2 seasons and to be honest the offense has struggled to find that consistent running game since the departure of Le’Veon Bell. Pittsburgh could go OL with this pick but a RB wouldn’t be out of the question if Jonathan Taylor is available at #49.
