Michele Spring Reporting:

(Wednesday, April 11, 2018) The Tuscarawas County Board of Elections is reminding residents that early voting started Tuesday.

Board of Elections Director Allan Sayre says it’s good to get it out of the way so when Election Day rolls around it is one less thing to worry about.

“You never know what the weather is going to be like and you never know with today’s society. You hate to get busy with work or other things and miss your opportunity to voice an opinion to vote. So it does give you an opportunity to vote at your leisure early and get it taken care of then you don’t have to worry about it on Election Day.”

Residents can visit the Board of Elections Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm through April 27th. The week before the May 8th, primary they will be open from 8am-7pm. They will also have weekend hours available the weekend before the election.

Voters who vote absentee can go to the board of election’s website or call to have the application mailed to you.

For more information, you can call the Board of Elections at (330)343-8819.
