Nick McWilliams reporting – The Carrol County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a missing 14-year old boy.

The juvenile was last seen on Saturday, wearing a blue hoodie with brown pants, around 3:30pm.

Sheriff Dale Williams says Jonathon Minard was reported missing on Sunday. The time lapse is due to his parents living in Dellroy; however, on the weekends, the teen helps another boy on a farm.

“They boy that he was with said that he was going to go back to the farm and Jonathan didn’t want to go because he had a toothache that was bothering him, and that he was going to get a hold of his mom and dad. When the other boy returned back home he was gone and no one has seen him since.”

The teen stands 5’7” and is approximately 145 pounds, and Williams notes that special attention is being given around the Baxters Ridge Church area in the search.

“We have looked and searched in that area where he was last seen. We’ve used law enforcement, drones, dogs and we’ve found nothing. We do have a person of interests and that investigation is on-going.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (330) 627-2141 ext. 0.
