Chester Duane Boles, 81, of Bowerston, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, after battling Covid-19. Born March 12, 1940 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Chester Howard and Margaret Frances (Hooker) Boles.

Duane was a 1959 graduate of Dennison High School and a member of the Uhrichsville Elks and Winfield Grange. He retired from Joy Manufacturing after 32 years of employment.

On April 2, 1961, Duane married Linda Kay (Henry) Boles who survives him, along with their sons, Patrick (Tina) Boles and Robert (companion, Connie Fuhrer) Boles; grandchildren, Zac, Cody, Taylor, Cassidy, and Jerrymi; and great-grandchildren, Haylee, Camden, Rowyn, Jaxon, and Aubrey. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jean Boles, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jordan, and his brother, B. William Boles.

Services, officiated by Pastor Kory Rowland, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Conotton Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison County Humane Society.
