He was born to Eli J. E. and Martha (Hochstetler) Miller on the home farm on January 8, 1934 in Walnut Creek, Ohio. He married Lydia Schlabach on October 20, 1960. She survives. He was a member of the Amish Church. He was a farmer, and retired after being employed at Walnut Creek Planing, and after he enjoyed volunteering at The Trading Post at Mt. Hope.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his three sons and three daughters: Wyman Miller of Beach City (married to Marie), Rosanna Stutzman of Millersburg (married to Aden), Christina Miller of Walnut Creek, Debra Miller of Berlin, Arlen Miller of Dundee (married to Ruth), Myron Miller of Sugarcreek (married to Linda); 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a sister Katie Troyer, and brothers Jacob Miller, and Manelius Miller. He is preceded in death by one son, Wesley Jay; sister, Elsie Beachy; and one brother, Fremon E Miller.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 9:00am at the Myron and Linda Miller Farm, 4842 Township Road 420, Sugarcreek, Ohio with Bishop Josie A. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery on the home farm in Walnut Creek Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call on Monday and Tuesday, December 6 and 7, 2 to 8pm both days. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
