Mary Alice Reporting – Approval was required by county leaders for several ongoing projects through the Tuscarawas County Metropolitan Water and Sewer District.
The Board of Commissioner provided needed authorization for continued work for a waterline replacement, a phase two construction request for a consultant, and to allow bid notices for rehabilitation projects.
A change order was granted for the line replacement at McKinley Avenue and Dutchtown Road Ext. that, according to the approved resolution read by Board President Chris Abbuhl, is for an additional $44,420.
“Adjusting the contracted amount to $194,127.06 as recommended by Michael Jones, Sanitary Engineer. Basically, it’s just more materials that’s needed.”
This money will be for off-site hauling of stone from disturbed areas, grading of mapped out paving locations, along with the asphalt installation.
Meanwhile, the Tuscarawas Sewer District has also been given the go-ahead to request qualifications for the design and construction of phase two on the Wilkshire Hills Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements.
Additionally, the District has been authorized to place advertisements and bid notices for 2020 sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects.
