Mary Alice Reporting – A Thursday accident was deadly for a 73-year-old in Coshocton County.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call just before 4pm for the accident on County Road 405.

Emergency crews arrived to find the driver, Roy King, of Doylestown, receiving CPR after a nearby resident extricated King from under the truck.

Deputies discovered King had been ejected from the vehicle after he traveled off the side of the road and over an embankment, striking a tree.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on scene but the Coshocton coroner.

The Sheriff’s Office is reminding all motorists to ensure proper seatbelt usage is happening at all time in a moving vehicle.
