<p>Mary Alice Reporting:

(Thursday, November 8th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – A 42-year-old will be sentenced for a physical assault that occurred earlier this year.

Michael Seese, of Newcomerstown, was initially charged with felonious assault, a 2nd-degree felony.

Assistant Tuscarawas County Prosecutor Amanda Miller says that Seese changed his plea to a 4th-degree aggravated assault.

“The felony of the fourth does not [carry a presumption of prison]. That charge comes from an assault that occurred in Newcomerstown where the victim’s ankle was broken in the assault.”

Seese is out on a recognizance bond and sentencing is set for December 18th.
