Derek Allen Clark – July 21, 2017

Derek Allen Clark, 27, of New Philadelphia passed away on July 21, 2017 of natural causes. Born July 20, 1990 in Winder, Georgia, he was a son of Delmar Allen Clark and Melissa Anne (Rosenberry) Clark.

Derek was a 2009 New Philadelphia High School graduate and attended Brown Mackey College. Derek was employed as an assistant manager for Taco Bell. He enjoyed playing basketball at the YMCA, was an avid Lakers fan and also liked attending any pro sport game. His greatest joy of all was spending time with his children. Derek was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison.

In addition to his parents, Delmar and Melissa, he is survived by his children, Arabella and Braylon Clark; brothers, Anthony Clark and Marcus Steve; maternal grandparents, Walter and Nancy Rosenberry; maternal great-grandmother, Jean Recchiuti; uncle, Mike Rosenberry; aunt, Lisa (Rick) Martinelli; cousins that were special to him, Emily (Eddie) Tornero, and Ricky and Rachel Martinelli; and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delmar and Peggy Clark and maternal great-grandfather, John Recchiuti.

Deacon Ron Onslow will celebrate the funeral liturgy on Thursday, July 27, at 1:00 p.m. at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a fund in the name of Derek A.
