Nick McWilliams reporting – The audit completed by the Dover finance department has earned them state recognition.
Auditor Nicole Stoldt addressed city council at their biweekly meeting to discuss the results of their audit.
According to Stoldt, the state auditor’s office was pleased, and acknowledged the city for their work.
“My office received a state award with distinction [nomination] from the Auditor of State’s office. This is due to us having a clean audit preparing on a GAAP basis so I just wanted to commend my staff and all the department heads that helped put that together.”
Other municipalities qualifying for the Auditor of State Award include Sandusky, Westlake, Erie County,
The Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Waste Management group received one of the auditor’s awards earlier this year.
