Mary Alice Reporting – Progress on the new Dover high school can be viewed by the public during a tour on May 4th.
Construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony on May 17, 2018 and since, steel and dry wall has taken shape to form the academic classrooms and the gymnasium.
Dover Superintendent Carla Birney says that the public viewing is a way to connection the community with the work begin done and to get a personal update.
“Construction manager will have a route through the construction site. Local contractors and construction manager, and our architectural firm will be to answer questions as the community is able to follow the path in the building.”
Attendees will be able to see the drywall that creates the academic classroom spaces, along with the common area and gym.
The construction viewing will happen from 9am and noon from the Walnut Street gate only, and participants are asked to wear closed toed shoes and keep in mind that children must be accompanied by an adult.
