Mary Alice Reporting – Ohio’s second primary election is just days away but early voting is still an option.

Three races are up for a vote on Tuesday, the Ohio Senate, Representative, and Central Committee man and woman for both political parties.

Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Director Gail Garbrandt says that when voting opened weeks ago, early voting was sparse but has since picked up.

If any registered voter is not able to make it to their polling location on Tuesday, she says that early voting at the County Courthouse is still an option with Saturday’s hours from 8 am to 4 pm.

“Sunday, we’re open from 1 pm to 5 pm. Then, on Monday, we’re open from 8 am to 2 pm only. Now, you can still request an absentee ballot up until noon on Saturday, July 30th.”

On Tuesday morning, all 81 precinct locations will open starting at 6:30 am.

She encourages anyone with questions to contact the Elections Office at 330-343-8819.
