Edna Maye Fillinger, 82, of Newcomerstown passed away at her home on April 3, 2017. Born January 13, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Francis Crumley and Mildred Eleanor (Mahaffey) Enos. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Merle “Bill and Francis “Paul” Enos; sisters, Grace Miller, Eleanor Stocker, Mary Fetters and Rose, Olive and Doris Enos. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Edna graduated from Gnadenhutten High School in 1953 and attended Columbus Technical Institute where she earned her Associates degree in business and computer programming. She was employed by St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland and Ohio Bureau of Employment Services in Columbus. She was a member of the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, Cleveland Blind bowling league, and Uhrichsville Moose Auxiliary.
Services for Edna, officiated by Pastor Joe Pena will be held on Thursday at 1pm at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 11am to 1pm. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation.
