Eli E. Miller 88 of 4533 SR 557 Millersburg died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Joel Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg following a short illness.
He was born September 4, 1929 in Wayne County to the late Eli A. and Sarah (Yoder) Miller. He is retired from Yoder Lumber Saw Mill and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mattie Raber whom he married on November 1, 1951; his children Verba (David) Weaver, Sarah (Paul) Miller, Fannie (Eli) Kempf, David Miller of the home and Nelson (Ada) Miller all of Millersburg, daughter-in-law Fannie (Sam) Miller Beiler of PA, his brother Atlee E. Miller of Fredricktown, OH, sister-in-law Mary Miller of Knox, 29 grandchildren and 73 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, son John, brothers Abe, Monroe, and John, sisters Clara and Fannie and a great grandchild Myla Miller.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Christ Schlabach Residence 4557 SR 557 Millersburg with Bishop Wayne Shetler officiating. Burial will be in the Raber Cemetery in Clark Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the Schlabach Residence. Arrangements are being handled by the Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
