Emanuel A. Nisley – December 16, 2017

Emanuel A. Nisley 89 of 2191 CR 600 Baltic died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 6:45 AM at his residence from declining health.

He was born July 21, 1928 in Millersburg, Ohio to the late Abner and Barbara (Beachy) Nisley. He was a farmer and a member of the old Order Amish Church. He was married to the former Mary Schlabach who preceded him on June 25, 2007. He is survived by his children; Paul (Rebecca) Nisley and Emma Ruth (Henry) Troyer both of Baltic, David (Susan) Nisley of Millersburg, Alton (Nora) Nisley of Dundee, Verna (Albert) Yoder of Millersburg, and Owen (Elsie) Nisley of Statesville, North Carolina, 44 grandchildren, 82 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Jonas Nisley of Butler, Ohio, Dan Nisley of Millersburg, Lizzie Ann (Noah) Mast of Baltic, Amanda (Ben) Weaver of Stanwood, Michigan, and Verna (David) Barkman of Fresno, sister-in- law Ada Nisley of Butler, OH and Edna Nisley of Millersburg. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his son David Nisley, 3 grandchildren, his 2 brothers Mose and Henry and 2 sisters Fannie and Lovina.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Nisley Residence with Bishop Delbert Erb officiating. Burial will follow in the Yoder Cemetery in Clark Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call anytime on Sunday and Monday at the Nisley Residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
