Mary Alice Reporting – Sessions are being held throughout the year to bring parents and community members together to learn about different topics.

The Tusky Valley Connect series is working to engage involvement and to educate about available opportunities for students and life lessons.

District Principal Mark Murphy explains this was born out of a survey that resulted in individuals wanting to know more about certain topics or trends youth may face.

“How can we as parents be proactive, supportive, and have good conversations with our children on tough topics. The whole focus is on prevention but also empowering our parents to be mindful and aware of what could be happening in their own home.”

The High School guidance department presenting a September 11th session that will focus on college and financial planning for students.

“These things are always open to not just Tusky Valley parents and families but to anyone in the listening area that would like to learn more. There are no boundaries here. We just want to provide the opportunities for people to be informed.”

The first session at TVHS’s auditorium will be at 6pm. Registration is requested.

Other program topics can be found on Tusky Valley’s website.
