Indian Valley FFA/WJER Toy Drive
Indian Valley FFA/WJER Toy Drive will be held on Wednesday, December 4th from 7 am – 7 pm at WJER Radio Station, 646 Boulevard, Dover. FFA students and alumni will accept new and very gently used toys and books. New bicycles are also accepted. Businesses, churches and other organizations are asked to take donations to the drop-off site at New Towne Mall in the former J C Penney’s store site on Monday, December 9th. Giving trees are also located around the county and toys can be donated at any of those locations. Recipients will be assisted by Indian Valley students at distribution day on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 17th and 18th. Those awarded bicycles can pick them up at Buckeye Career Center those same days. A food drive will be conducted at Tuscora Park Pavilion on Tuesday, December 17th from 9 am – 2 pm. Donations of non-perishable food are needed and donors are asked to not donate food with expired dates. (In 2018, over 900 food baskets were provided countywide.) Lahm Motors in Sugarcreek is also accepting donations of food and toys. Toys can be taken there December 2nd – 6th and food from December 9th-13th. Employees will then deliver it to the appropriate collection site. Monetary donations can be mailed to Share-A-Christmas, 1458 Fifth Street NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
