Fannie Marie Yoder – January 1, 2018

Fannie Marie Yoder 87 of Sugarcreek died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek following a period of declining health.

She was born January 13, 1930, in Fredericksburg to the late Andrew and Emma (Troyer) Coblentz. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Berlin. She served her church as custodian and librarian for many years. She was married on November 6, 1951 to John J. Yoder and he died on January 30, 2001. She is survived by her 8 children Paul “Jack” Yoder, Dorothy Fishburn, Alvin “Arch” (Laura) Yoder, Emma (Ron) Keegan, Lee Yoder, and Esther (Mark) Klaiber all of Sugarcreek, Duane Yoder of Berlin and Marilyn (Darrell) Hanlon of Sugarcreek, 9 grandchildren Jonathan Fishburn, Natassia (Joe) Butler, Ari (Tessa) Yoder, Courtney (Rocky) Shanower, Daniel Yoder, Luke (Mandy) Klaiber, Kayla (Kevin) North, Matthew Klaiber and Ronnie (Julie) Keegan, 12 great grandchildren, her brother Roy Coblentz of Bell Center, OH and her sister Mary Coblentz of Fredericksburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson Jeremiah Fishburn and her siblings Paul Coblentz, Elmer Coblentz, Homer Coblentz, Esther Kline and Lovina Weaver.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Grace Mennonite Church in Berlin with Pastor Larry Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
