Nick McWilliams reporting – A mid-day incident claimed the life of a 24-year old in Coshocton County.

Coshocton-native Alex Caley was traveling westbound on U.S. 36 past Township Road 509, when he lost control and exited the roadway, striking multiple trees.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded around noon to the incident, and Caley was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Dr. Robert Gwinn.

The investigation is ongoing, but speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

West Lafayette Fire and Coshocton Count EMS assisted on scene.
