<p>Mary Alice Reporting:

(September 11th) Dennison, Ohio – The Dennison Fire Department continues to prepare for a countywide emergency radio system update set to be installed in 2018.

Fire Chief Dave McConnell says they previously were awarded a grant to purchase four portable radios. The department was recently awarded a grant through the Rosenberry foundation for over $18,666.

“We were able to get seven portables, ten spare batteries, and seven spare radio straps.”

McConnell notes the fire department still needs to purchase three mobile radios and a base radio, which will cost about $12,000.
