Five Teachers on Paid Leave Pending Investigation

(Monday, October 8th) Dennison, Ohio – The Claymont City School Board of Education is thoroughly investigating a policy violation.

Five teachers were placed on paid administrative leave on October 4th related to conduct violations of the Board Policy.

According to a school release, the investigation began after the Board received complaints that the teachers were consistently exchanging inappropriate text messages throughout the school day.

The Claymont Board met for a special meeting on Friday and went into an executive session to consider the dismissal, discipline, and investigation of charges/complaints against the employees.

Board members are continuing to conduct an investigation into the allegations, noting that a conclusion may take some time and that specific details will not be released to “preserve the rights of all parties involved”.
