Mary Alice Reporting – A weekend meeting proved positive for the future of the Dennison Railroad Festival.

There was a concern that the annual event would not take place in 2020 due to current board members stepping down and no one willing to take over the leadership roles.

Current Chair Greg DiDonato says that a public meeting was hopeful with over 15 people showing up and expressing interesting in continuing the community event.

“Some where they that they made clear they grew up going to the festival and they were very passionate to make sure it goes on.”

He say that the next step is to have a vote for the board positions by October.

Volunteers are always needed to ensure the 40 year old festival continues annually.
