Glen D. Masters, 87, of Fresno died Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Newcomerstown following a period of declining health. He was born July 27, 1930 in Tuscarawas County to the late Harry and Irene (Lorenz) Masters.
He was retired from Moomaw Chevrolet in Sugarcreek with over 30 years of dedicated service. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Newcomerstown American Legion Honor Guard and V.F.W. Post.
He was married to the former Ruby E. Dixon who died in 2015. He is survived by his children; Carol (Larry) Bobbitt of Coshocton, Linda (R. Dale) Briggs of West Lafayette and Dale (Sharon) Masters of Port Washington, his special nephew; Richard Masters, 3 grandchildren; Steve (Mindy) Bailey, Justin Masters and Amanda (Jonathan) Jenkins, great granddaughter; Gracie Bailey and 4 sisters; Ann McKnight of Columbus, Shirley Carter of Johnstown, Opal Hampton of Columbus and Maxine Hamlin of Baltic. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his sister; Evelyn and 3 brothers; Ray Masters, Ervin Masters and Roger Masters.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Fresno Bible Church with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Memory Gardens where Military Honors will be conducted. Friends may call at the Fresno Bible Church on Saturday from 11-12 prior to the services. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
