Mary Alice Reporting:

(Monday, March 12th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – Failed contract negotiations is the reason for an on-going strike at a New Philadelphia business.

Gradall Industries Inc. President Mike Haberman explains that the company union voted for around 200 employees to go on strike Sunday at midnight.

“They were offered a contract that was voted down by the union memberships, and after they voted down the union contract, they voted to go on strike. That strike has begun and we are operating accordingly.”

There was no timeline made available as contract negotiations continue.

Meanwhile, the City of New Philadelphia has closed Mill Avenue SW from South Broadway to Bank Lane SW until further notice.
