Heather Marie (Finley) Yoder – December 26, 2017

 

Well Done Good and Faithful Servant

Heather Marie (Finley) Yoder, 45, of Sugarcreek, passed into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from a sudden illness. Born on October 14, 1972, she was the youngest daughter of Mike and Doris Finley who reside in Sugarcreek.

Heather was the dearly loved secretary for Dundee Elementary School. She faithfully attended and served at NewPointe Community Church in Dover for 24 years, where she was known for her warm smile, her infectious laugh, and her love for others.

Heather is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Angie Springer, and Rob Roy and Josephine Finley, as well as her brother-in-law Ivan Habegger, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Heather leaves behind her precious husband Myron R. Yoder to whom she was married for 24 years, as well as her beloved children, Corey Seldon (22, of Ohio University), Abigail Marie (19, of Mount Vernon Nazarene University), and Elizabeth Paige (17, a junior at Garaway High), and her mother and father-in-law Nora and Robert Yoder of Sarasota, Florida. Heather will also be missed by her brother Mike (Elaine) Finley of Dover, her two sisters, Amanda (Keith) Beachy, of Sugarcreek, Jessica (Shannon) Liggett of Bolivar, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Yoder, Robin Yoder, Debbie Yoder, Dennis Yoder, Mary Jane Habegger, and Maynard (Cherie) Yoder.  Nieces and nephews include Bryan and Lisa, Natalie, Michele, Jessica, and Anthony, Nicole and Katie, Ford, Micki, and Matthew, Arielle, Eli, Sophia, and Andreas, and Morgan and Ben. 

She was loved by all. Heather has finished the race and kept the faith. She has gained her crown of righteousness. Services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at NewPointe Community Church in Dover with Pastors Dwight Mason and John Bunn officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Sugarcreek.  Friends may call on Friday from 1-3 and 5-8 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
