(Monday, September 11th) Dover, Ohio – The community shows overwhelming support in a last minute donation drive to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Dover Police Officer Bill Nedrow explained that he still can’t believe how generous the public was in the effort.

The public filled four semis in total. Officer Nedrow along with Cadiz K9 Officer CJ Byers personally drove one semi to Texas last week and an Akron trucking company drove two additional semis down as well.

Officer Nedrow added that they were forced to close a few of the drop sites early because of the overwhelming turnout.

A fourth semi is packed full and awaiting its destination. Officials are expected to announce whether it too will be heading to Texas or if it will be diverted to Florida following Hurricane Irma.
