Michele Spring Reporting:

(Wednesday, December 12, 2018) Uhrichsville, Ohio – The Tuscarawas County Republican Party Central Committee will conduct open interviews to fill the Uhrichsville City Law Director position previously held by State Representative-Elect Brett Hillyer.

Central Committee Chairman Joel Day said interviews will take place Thursday evening at 6:45pm before the Uhrichsville City Council meeting at City Hall.

“Qualifications, you need to have a law degree, have some sort of background in municipal law and also contracts. Drawing contracts and reviewing contracts are a big part of a Law Director’s job.”

The new Law Director would fill the remainder of Hillyer’s term, which is two years.

Day, who will be conducting the interviews, said a decision won’t be made for a couple of weeks.

”If there are any possible candidates in Uhrichsville, to meet them and discuss them. And then be able to create a list of candidates that the Central Committee can act on.”

Candidates must be registered  Republicans in Uhrichsville.
