Karen L. Kaser – November 20, 2017

Karen L. Kaser 74 of Sugarcreek died Monday, November 20, 2017 at her residence following a short illness.

She was born February 26, 1943 in Farmerstown to the late Delmer and Orvilla (Weaver) Yoder. She had worked at Rich Industries in Midvale and then worked at Carlisle Inn at Walnut Creek.  She was a member of Barrs Mills Church of God and had attended Martins Creek Mennonite Church.  She enjoyed sewing, keeping a clean house and traveling all but two of the fifty states.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle G. “Casey” Kaser whom she married November 30, 1987; their children Rodney E. (Susan) Miller of New Philadelphia, Gregory N. (Kari) Miller of Akron, Jeffery S. Miller of Terre Haute, IN, Karen (John) Meek of Sugarcreek and Katherine (Steve) Hinkley of Dover, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Eileen Yoder of Berlin and Janice Carlson and her brother Doyle (Anna) Yoder of Becks Mills.  In addition to her parents she is preceded by sons Allen Kaser and Lyle Kaser Jr. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.  Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday (Today) 4-7 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.  Please visit the funeral home’s website to leave condolence.
