Kimberly Ann Porter, 58, of Dennison, passed away at her home on Monday, June 27, 2022, after battling lung cancer. Born January 30, 1964, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Richard “Dick” and Betty Dallas.

Kim grew up in New Philadelphia and was a 1982 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, later earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She will be remembered by her many friends from area businesses where she worked, including Kleen Test and Allied. Most of all, she will be remembered as a “Mother to All”, as she lovingly opened her arms and her home to many children over the years who needed her. Her children and their friends will cherish many happy memories of the big group camping trips she would take them all on when they were kids. Kim enjoyed attending Uhrichsville First Christian Church until her health prevented her from doing so.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Joel (Jess) Porter, Kyle Porter, and Lisa Stevens; granddaughter, Harper Porter; siblings, Mike (Barb) Dallas, Alva Dallas, and Crystal (Pat) Bragg; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Ziggy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diane “DeeDee”.

According to Kim’s wishes, cremation is planned. Kyle Porter will officiate a celebration of life on Friday, July 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. Charitable contributions honoring Kim’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice for the benefit of children, in keeping with her deep commitment to help children in need.
