(Tuesday, September 11th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – A local campus is highlighting the past 50-years through a week-long celebration.

Kent State University at Tuscarawas’s anniversary officially kicked-off Monday with speaker Todd Hartline talking about the campus’s history.

Director of Advancement Chad Conrad explains KSU Tusc located to University Drive in 1968.

“We had the original Founder’s Hall and it has really grown since then. We have one additional academic building, the Performing Arts Center, and most recently, the Tolloty Technology Incubator so a lot of growth and change over the campus scenery.”

The 50-year celebration is also a way for retired professors, employees, and alumni to get together once again and see the changes at the campus, with the most recent change being the gateway entrance under construction.

On Wednesday, KSU Tusc is inviting the campus family to a reunion in Founders Hall from 7 pm to 9 pm. RSVP’s to Conrad is recommended for the reunion by calling him at 330-308-7445 or emailing him at cconra1@kent.edu.
