Levi N. Raber – February 1, 2017

Levi N. Raber 69 of 5435 CR 19 Millersburg died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Aultman Hospital in Canton.

He was born November 17, 1947 in Holmes County to the late Noah J. and Lizzie L. (Miller) Raber.  He was employed at Keim Lumber in Charm and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. 

He was first married to Lucinda (Raber) Raber who died November 11, 2010. He is survived by his second wife, the former Amanda Yoder Schlabach, whom he married March 21, 2013; his 5 children Ervin Raber of Baltic, Lizzie Ann (David) Beiler of the home, Abe Raber of Millersburg, Robert (Esther) Raber of Fredericksburg and Vernon Raber of Winesburg; 3 stepsons Sam (Clara) Schlabach of Baltic, Alan (Mary Sue) Schlabach of Fresno and Marvin Schlabach of Millersburg; 2 step daughters Susan (Ervin) Barkman of Fresno and Anna Mae Schlabach of Millersburg; 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sister Fannie (John J.C.) Yoder of Baltic, and Anna (Dan) Troyer, Jonathon (Susie) Raber and Andy (Verna) Raber all of Millersburg.  In addition to his parents and first wife Lucinda, he is preceded by his son Leroy Raber and daughter-in-law Ella Raber.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Raber Residence with Bishop Henry Stutzman officiating.  Burial will be in the Stutzman Cemetery in Mechanic Twp., Holmes County.  Friends may call anytime at the residence after 3:00 PM on Thursday.  Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
