Library Hosts Holocaust Book Discussion

(Tuesday, October 10th) New Philadelphia, Ohio – The Tuscarawas County Library is hosting an author in honor of the 70th Anniversary of the Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank.

Public Relations Associate Megan Kovalaske-Grimm says they main library will host Fern Levy, Founder and Director of the Anne Frank Moral Courage Projects in Cleveland, who will talk about her interview with Miep Gies, who helped hide the Frank family for years during the Holocaust.

“She’ll be talking about the interview and other interviews she has done as well with people connected with the hiding of Anne Frank, and some people she interviewed about the Holocaust.”

Kovalaske-Grimm explains Gies not only helped hide the family but found Anne’s diary after the Frank family’s arrest, allowing the record of Anne’s thoughts and feelings during that time to be published.

She notes registration for the 6:30pm event on Wednesday, October 11th and can be made by calling 330-364-4474 ext. 101.
