Mary Alice Reporting – Guggisberg has won a national contest for their Baby Swiss.
The local company, based in Millersburg, entered the prestigious contest for the 2019 American Cheese Society.
Marketing Coordinator Ursula Guggisberg-Bennett says the competition is based upon the highest standards of cheese-making.
She notes it’s an important win since this showcases the company and the work that goes into their quality product.
“Very much a team win in every department. It’s also a win for the farmers because without their milk, we wouldn’t have the cheese that we do.”
At the contest, there was almost 2,000 entries and those awarded met quality standards in technical excellence and the highest aesthetic.
