LouAnne Gold, 89, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born March 28, 1929 in Dennison, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Clinton and Edna Blanche (Stocker) Cable.
A lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County, LouAnne was a 1947 graduate of Dennison High School. On June 25, 1948, she married Gerald Lee Gold with whom she enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage until his passing on June 13, 2001. LouAnne’s life revolved around her family, and she will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to crochet and was a wonderful baker whose pies were a delight for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Faith Christian Church in New Philadelphia.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her son, Robert D. “Bobby” (Rhonda) Gold; daughter, Tammy S. Gold; grandchildren, Angela (John) Swinderman and Kirstie (Tommy) Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Myia Orr, Trevor Armstrong, Ian Swinderman, Justus Armstrong, and Trinity Armstrong; and dear cousins, Carol Schmidt and Roberta Shanley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edwin Gold, and brother, Leroy Cable.
Pastor Brian Flood will officiate a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where she will be interred beside her beloved husband. In keeping with her express wishes, no public visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
