Mary Alice Reporting: (Franklin Township, Ohio) Drugs, Cash, and other paraphernalia were collected during a Thursday house raid in Beach City.

Members from the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s SWAT Team, Dover Police, and the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office assisted the LEAD Drug Task Force at the house raid at 5364 State Route 212 NW.

For a month, Detective Sgt. Phil Valdez has been investigating the trafficking of large amounts of an illegal substance.

“There’s been a number of different things that have kind of led to this residence. A lot of stuff that pertains to the illegal sales of crystal methamphetamine and also, kind of a fencing operation, where they’re trading stolen property for crystal methamphetamine.”

Charges are pending against the primary suspect, 38-year-old Anthony Raunikar, who was on parole at the time of his arrest.

“Also present were two females and another male, [who] was also taken into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Stark County. During the operation, we did recover several stolen items including trailers and ATV’s.”

The many items are believed to be stolen outside of Tuscarawas County. Chemicals for making methamphetamine was also seized in the raid.
